Why “Uncle Taj” Vivek Ramaswamy Bores Me

It took exactly 15 minutes for me to figure out that Indian-American 2024 US presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy is a waste of my time- and yours. Worse than not being the least bit interesting, this Biotech/Finance Bro who leads every self-involved interview with how awesome his Ivy League resume is and how many billions of dollars of money he has gotten to play around with in his career, bores me. The only real question that came up while he explained how amazing his resume was and how America is exceptional because of, OF ALL THINGS, “family values” and “faith in God” (no exaggeration, the two least exceptional concepts you can possibly find in any corner of any country on this planet) was whether Vivek really is too much of an idiot after all to realize that he is way too dark-skinned to milk enough votes from the constituency he seems bizarrely obsessed with chasing after: the most racist possible #MAGAts among us in America. For he himself brags openly he is running “to the right” of #PervertOrangutan, whatever that means. And so the answer is exceedingly obvious. This #UncleTaj is in fact smart enough to know he has no chance of winning anything in this crowded race for the #KKK vote except a lucrative private business deal after the dust settles in 2024 and Democrats hold onto power, or perhaps a cabinet position in case another #NeoNazi administration comes to town. I see you, Vivek! Perhaps you are half as smart as you sound, after all. Good luck in your endeavor I guess.

When I first heard of this Uncle Taj, on the one hand as an Indian-American I initially thought I’d be glad to see even this type of narcissist egomaniac joining the ranks of Bobby Jindal or Nikki Haley in the quest for the White House. On the other hand, I’d rather see an Indian-American I have an iota of respect for in the race, unlike any of these Uncle Tajs hand-picked straight from the basket of deplorables. I really shouldn’t blindly support anyone in politics just because their skin tone and cultural background is very close to mine, and neither should you.

Why be so vicious towards this poor Uncle Taj, who is so talented he got to play with billions of dollars of material wealth, which he believes should obviously qualify him for our undying adulation? Simply put, in my opinion he richly deserves to be ostracized for the tangible harm he is doing to our country by being in the futile race and running his mouth even as our democracy continues to be under grave threat from the party he seeks to lead. As our planet roasts during the hottest summer of discontent during recorded human history, expensive infrastructure melts apart or is flooded out, and people and animals needlessly die across the American South and around the world from the heat, our latest leading candidate for Uncle Taj of the Year chooses to mercilessly attack climate warriors (a moniker usindiamonitor proudly wears), “the woke,” and Juneteenth- for those are what is wrong with modern America, not the powerful American political party trying to justify the conspiracy to shamelessly and violently overturn the will of the American people in a free and fair election. He has become another dangerous token minority like Clarence Thomas whose political posture makes right-wing racists feel better about themselves. Spending more time with our kids or in church pews with people who look just like us on Sundays ain’t going to solve America’s problems either dude.

Nothing profound to be found here, folks. So is Vivek Ramaswamy a uniquely, perfectly self-delusional tragic figure of these particularly f***ed up modern American political times- or a right-wing loser lapdog of a minstrel worth a hearty laugh? Take your pick with this Uncle Taj. Those are the only two options we have available though. You can count me out either way. Both of the possibilities simply bore me.
