I never got into this American mainstream network sitcom named The Big Bang Theory but was vaguely aware of its existence throughout its long run. All I really knew was that it involved science nerds and a smattering of Indian-American diaspora humor from short snippets during channel surfing. Nerds and Indian-American diaspora humor are two things far too often paired together in the pop culture of the early 21st century for my liking.
Where are the Indian-American dramatic actors and not just comedy minstrels? Aziz came close but I am still waiting for the A-list breakout in Hollywood and we are not quite there.
